WashU recognizes that students using U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) education benefits may encounter situations where payments to the institution and the individual are delayed through no fault of the student. This policy recognizes and makes appropriate allowances for students in such situations; it applies to all university schools and programs.

The policy and associated guidance provide direction for authentication to WashU systems and network.

WashU is committed to ensuring the safety of the members of our university community. In keeping with that goal, and in accordance with the Higher Education Act of 2008, 20 U.S.C. § 1092(j), the university has established the following Missing Student Notification Policy and Procedure.

WashU recognizes that students serving in the U.S. Armed Forces and their Family Members may encounter situations where Military Service forces them to withdraw from a course of study, sometimes with little notice. This policy recognizes and makes appropriate allowances for students in such situations; it applies to all university schools and programs.

Medical Leaves of Absence (MLOA) are granted and regarded as approved interruptions of a student’s program. The university recognizes that medical and mental health conditions can interfere with your academic success and personal safety.

Recognizing that the research and teaching interests of faculty often extend beyond the boundaries of a single discipline or school and that new knowledge can be created when interdisciplinary issues are addressed, WashU is committed to providing a structure and environment in which such efforts can thrive.

Our institutional responsibility requires that any investigational drug or device is used in the manner intended by the research project, is stored under appropriate controlled conditions, and is used only by (on) subjects who have consented to participate in the research project.

The Washington University International Travel Policy has been adopted to ensure a consistent set of travel standards to be followed by all units of the university. The policy applies to all international travel that is sponsored, is funded in any part, or involves the granting of degree credits by Washington University in St. Louis.
