Sponsorship of WashU Academic Events
WashU welcomes sponsorships in the service of the University’s mission and principles, as well as in the service of collaboration to advance society at large. Support from external entities for sponsorships of conferences, symposiums and other events can enhance the University’s mission. The University also has an interest in protecting its name and reputation and the goodwill attached to them.

These guidelines provide governance and guidance for WashU faculty, staff, and students who manage or wish to create social media accounts, campaigns, and strategies on behalf of the university.
Domain Name Use
Washington University in St. Louis is a tax-exempt educational institution that uses wustl.edu and live-policies-washu.pantheonsite.io/wp/ as its official Internet domain name.

Permission to Use University Names, Logos and Trademarks
Policy for use of the “Washington University in St. Louis” name and other identities on commercial websites and other commercial communications vehicles. These guidelines apply to the names and symbols of the university and its entities – schools, departments, programs, offices, groups, etc.
Commercial Use of University Names and Symbols
WashU’s Trademark Licensing Program protects the university’s registered trademarks and goodwill and supports fair treatment of workers across the globe. Our mission is to promote quality and consistency in the representation of the university on all branded commercial and promotional products.
Access to Campus for Filming & Photography
This policy applies to News Media; Non-News, Freelance and Commercial Media; Drone Flights; Weddings and Special Events; and Athletics and Sports Events
