Demonstrations and Disruption
It is the policy of the university to protect the rights of free speech, assembly and expression by making its facilities available for activities related to the exercise of these rights, including peaceful assembly. The university is a private institution and may limit access to university property and facilities as it deems necessary.
Delegation of Signature Authority
Article II, Section 2 of the Bylaws provides that the Chair of the
Board of Trustees, in the name of and on behalf of the University, shall execute documents reflecting Board action and shall have authority, with the concurrence of the Chancellor, to delegate the signing of documents to such other officers and employees of
the University as the Chair may designate in writing.
Institutional Conflict of Interest
This policy is intended to protect against harm to human research participants and to protect the integrity of research performed at or under the auspices of WashU.

This Code of Conduct describes standards to guide us in our daily University activities, standards we believe are already being followed.
Discrimination and Harassment
This Policy prohibits discrimination and harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, shared ancestry or ethnic characteristics, citizenship (where prohibited by federal law), age, religion, sex (including sexual harassment and sexual assault), sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, disability, or genetic information (collectively, “the Protected Characteristics”). Such conduct may also violate federal, state or local law.

Officers, deans and all Washington University in St. Louis staff members (collectively referred to in this policy as employees) have a shared responsibility to ensure they conduct themselves in an unbiased manner and serve the mission of the university.
Joint Venture
It is the policy of Washington University in St. Louis (the “university”), whenever engaging in a joint venture with one or more taxable persons, to take such steps as are necessary to ensure that the joint venture is organized and operated in accordance with applicable federal, state and local law.
